Safety and Security
The cottage is equipped with two smoke alarms, a fire blanket and first
aid box.
Heating & Hot Water
The public rooms and bedrooms are heated by off peak storage heaters.
The sitting room has a solid fuel stove which burns peat or wood. The
dining room has an open hearth fire which burns coal. The bathroom has
an electric radiator to provide background heating. Water heating is by
an immersion heater.
Pets
Tenants may bring up to 2 dogs by prior arrangement. It is imperative
however that they are kept under strict control, as there are sheep and
cattle in the adjacent fields. Tenants are asked to ensure that their
pets are kept off the furniture and that the garden area is kept tidy
and clear of fouling. The proprietors breed Hungarian Vizslas - hunter/pointer/retriever
gundogs which are kept in a run within the garden ground next door at
the Mill.
Books/Games
A selection of books, information guides and an OS map of the area is
provided. Various board games, jigsaws, and cards are also available.
